adama traore

Adama Traoré returns to FC Barcelona from Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club. Of Malian origin and born in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat on January 25, 1996, Adama was part of the Barça academy from eight and always showed himself to be an outstanding student.

A fast and powerful footballer, he burned stages at great speed and, at the age of 17, in the 2013/14 season, he had already made his debut in Segunda A and was part of Barça B. That year, he also helped Juvenil A win the first Youth League of Barça history.

Adama’s career did not end there because his official debut with the first team was on November 23, 2013, in a Barça-Granada (4-0). He also made his Champions League debut against Ajax in Amsterdam (2-1). His only goal with the first team was against Huesca, in the Cup won by 8-1.

After going through all the categories of Barça youth football from Benjamín A and playing four games with the first team, he left for the Premier in the summer of 2015. There he defended the colors of Aston Villa (2015/16), Middlesbrough (2016/17 and 2017/18), and Wolverhampton Wanderers (from the summer of 2018 to January 2022).

He has also played with the senior Spanish team, with which he made his debut on October 7, 2020, under Luis Enrique Martínez.
