Recovery after derby victory over Espanyol

April 12, 2026

The starting 11 in the derby had a reduced workload, while the rest of the squad were out for a session on the Tito Vilanova pitch, namely Roony, Lewandowski, Casadó, Dani Olmo, Rashford, Cancelo, De Jong, Kounde and Szczęsny, who were also joined by development players Eder Aller and Cortés.

So, with the derby now in the rear view mirror and nine point lead in LaLiga, FC Barcelona now turn their attention to the next challenge, coming back from 0-2 on aggregate against Atlético Madrid in the Champions League quarterfinal, with the return leg at the Metropolitano stadium on 14 April (kick-off 9.00pm CEST).
